How these claims are verified

This directory makes two specific claims about each yarn. Every one of them is either backed by a source you can check yourself, or marked as unknown.

The two claims

Milled in the USA: the yarn was spun into its finished form at a mill in the United States.

Fiber from US animals: the fiber was grown on animals raised in the United States. Blends must be mostly from a US source to qualify. Note, a yarn with imported merino and domestic nylon is not included in the list.

What counts as a source

A citation must point at source that can be checked. This will probably be the product page but could be a news article, video, podcast, and really anything from the owners themselves. Quotes included but you can always verify the claim work.
